@Salamanca – The first opportunity for American and European students to meet.

Salamanca, a local Mexican-Spanish restaurant and disco pub is hosting a special welcome night for newly arrived study abroad students. The event, which will be held on Tuesday, February 20, will feature special discounts to welcome study abroad students to the beautiful city of Florence.

The restaurant, which is just a few minutes’ walk from the Duomo, offers authentic Mexican and Spanish food. Tapas, typical Spanish appetizers, are served along with traditional Spanish dishes. Guests can also grab a cocktail or wine to sip on while enjoying their food. Notable among their drinks is the sangria “de la casa”, a traditional Spanish wine punch.
To go along with the great food, Salamanca also offers a lively atmosphere in which to experience it. In addition to a restaurant, the venue also features a bar, lounge, and club. Live music creates an energet- ic mood, and guests are encouraged to let their hair down by dancing the night away to Salsa and Merengue music.

If they’re not in the mood to dance, guests are welcome to simply enjoy the entertainment, which includes live Latin music and Flamenco dancers. With the purchase of their first drink, students will be treated to a free buffet of original Spanish and Mexican specialty food.

The buffet will be open between 7 and 9:30 pm.
